Author Biography

Prof Poduri Nagaraja Rao retired from Osmania University, Hyderabad, India, with 32 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. His chief research field is Basic Entomology and New Biology.He has guided 25 PhD students, 10 research projects and received various fellowships and awards. He has 105 scientific papers and has organized 14 conferences/seminars. He organized the Global Meet on Parasitic Diseases, on the occasion of the centenary celebrations of Sir Ronald Ross in 1997, Hyderabad, India. He was Sectional President of the Indian Science Congress, 2018, Convener of ISCA, Hyderabad, 2023, and authored a book entitled "Pests and pathogens management strategies", CRC Publication Netherlands, UK, USA.Dr Kamaraju Raghavendra holds a PhD in Insect Toxicology from Delhi University, India and has 40 years of experience in malaria entomology, specifically on insecticide resistance. He has published 140 scientific papers in national and international journals, 17 book chapters, and drafted a report on insecticide resistance in Aedes sp. in WHO South-East Asia Region countries (2023). He was a member of the WHOPES working group meetings on insecticides and drafting committee of Protocols for Evaluation of Insecticides in India (2023). He conducted many evaluations of insecticide interventions for the WHO pesticide evaluation scheme (WHOPES) and for the National Programme.
