First published as The English Apple in 1988, this comprehensive guide depicts the range of form, texture, colour and shape characterising varieties such as Cox’s Orange Pippin, the Worcester Pearmain, Granny Smith or the Blenheim Orange. Each apple illustration is accompanied by a short description, a cross-section drawing and a list of characteristics, from size and shape to seeds, stalk and leaves.

In Rosie Sanders’ Apples, it’s the meticulous attention to detail that makes it the definitive guide to identification, as well as a source of inspiration for apple growers everywhere.
