In part 53, the Berberidaceae in Ecuador are revised. The family is represented by a single high Andean genus, Berberis, with 15 species. Descriptions, specimen citations and a key are provided for all species, along with field images, line drawings, and images of herbarium specimens. Several names are lectotypified.

In part 72A, the Ecuadorian members of Brassicaceae are revised. Twenty-one genera with 68 species (22 introduced, 46 native, of which 22 are endemic) in 12 tribes are treated. Keys, descriptions, and specimen citations are given for all taxa.
