An essential guide to the wild flowers of the eastern Mediterranean. A corrected version of the 1994 edition.
The first comprehensively and fully illustrated Flora (grasses and sedges excepted – see vol. 2), covering native and established plants found in North Cyprus, but useful for the South of the island as well as countries in the neighbouring region.
1089 spp or subspecies are described with line drawings on facing pages, representing over three quarters of the total for the whole island. Keys to families, genera and species are provided with Turkish English and scientific names.
The book follows the sequence and nomenclature of Meikle’s Flora of Cyprus (or, where different, of the Flora Europaea).
