Endocrine System

This edition focuses on the unambiguous identification of lesions in the endocrine system of laboratory animals, a base which is expanded to include new information coming from contemporary techniques, such as invoking mechanisms of action of xenobiotics, identification of cells by their ultrastructure and secretory products, and recognition of effects of toxins on cells and tissues. Methods applicable to answer pathologists’ questions are offered and contemporary concepts of each endocrine organ of laboratory animals and other species are considered and presented in detail.
