Orig. green cloth boards with gilt spine titles. xi[i],275pp+16pp.advs (more than present in other copies); 8 b&w plates; rear endpaper map. Slight damage to top and bottom of spine, otherwise boards only lightly bumped and marked. Joints cracked and weakening at top but boards holding firm. Endpapers tanned, otherwise internally crisp and clean with just light age toning and the occasional light spot of foxing. Overall a nice copy of this fairly scarce first edition.
