Author Biography

Arne Aronsen runs the homepage www.mycena.no and has mainly studied the genus in a Norwegian setting. He is cand. philol. from the University of Oslo and his professional life has evolved around teaching linguistics and history. ~Thomas Læssøe is a freelance mycologist who trained at Aarhus and Copenhagen University and at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, where he was based when preparing his PhD thesis on the Xylariaceae. He has been fascinated by mycenoid fungi since his early student days at Aarhus University in the late 1970s. He is also a member of the editorial board of the Fungi of Northern Europe series and co-authors MycoKey with Jens H. Petersen.
