West European Orchids – LOOSE SETS

Each set comprises 5 folders, each containing 12 drawings of orchids, making a total of 60 different fine colour plates by Eliza Klopfenstein. In each folder, brief descriptions of the orchid species, their distribution, ecology, etc are described on accompanying sheets. Elisa Klopfenstein had an artistic passion for orchids. Her work was highly valued in the art world and the scientific community. She received numerous awards, including the gold medal for best scientific work at the World Orchid Congress in Glasgow,1993.
