Blue cloth boards with gilt spine titles and gilt swifts to front board; gilt top edge. Lightly edgeworn, lightly soiled, some [soot?] tanning to spine. Front hinge cracked but the book remains firmly bound. Internally generally crisp, clean and bright, though with the very occasional very light thumb mark. Spotting mostly confined to endpapers, closed edges of the textblock and the first and final few leaves. Frontispiece detached but present. Beautiful colour plates of birds and eggs.
