The Pyrenees and Picos de Europa

The latest in the Mountain Flower Walks series published by the Alpine Garden Society is a guide to the best places to see plants in the Pyrenees and the Picos de Europa. The area is visited every year by plant enthusiasts from all parts of the world.
Margaret and Henry Taylor have visited the area many times and pass on their knowledge to all those who would like to get the best out of a holiday in these mountains in southern France, northern Spain and Andorra.
Each entry includes notes on accommodation,access, when to visit, and sites to visit with a schematic map.
The descriptions highlight notable plants to be seen along with photographs of some of them and as such, provides a useful guide for those with some botanical knowledge or with access to a field guide to aid identification. The authors suggest some useful books for consultation.
