The CODIT Principle: Tree Biology and Arboriculture, Second Edition

This book is an English-language version of the second edition of of Dirk Dujesiefken and Walter Liese’s Das CODIT-Prinzip (2022) – German text. It replaces The CODIT Principle – Implications for Best Practices (2015) which was an English translation of the first German edition (2008).

This new edition is significantly expanded and revised from the earlier one, with a new introduction on tree biology, and a more comprehensive section on wound reaction. There is a completely revised chapter on implications for tree care, which, along with chapters on crown pruning, have been significantly expanded. A chapter on practical applications for tree care has also been added.

This book is based on the many years of experience of its two authors, and it is intended for all individuals engaged in or involved with arboriculture, forestry, and landscaping in the public sector, private sector, and associations.
