“Absolutely gorgeous. This book has everything a young reader could want.” Eoin Colfer, bestselling author of Artemis Fowl “Brilliant, swampy characters and a funny, rhyming text all wrapped up in a parcel of gorgeous pictures. The Blue Moon Ball is a party in a picture book.” PJ Lynch, award-winning illustrator of The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey Spirits are high in the swamp tonight. Beneath the swaying cypress trees, fireflies twinkle in the moonlight and the Slimy Sensations begin to play the sweet sounds of jazz. Every creature – from bats to bunnies, frogs to foxes – arrives in their best bow ties and shiniest shoes ready to prance their way round the dancefloor. Until – gasp! – Blanche Beaureguard, the fearsome, formidable (and utterly chic) alligator makes a surprise appearance. But Blanche has come for one thing only… – Perfect for all kids aged 3-7 who love beautifully illustrated animal stories. – The Princess and the Frog meets Strictly Come Dancing. – Full of expressive animal characters in a magical, moonlit swamp setting. – Rhyming read-aloud text perfect for story time. – Stunning, cinematic illustrations from a multi-award-winning artist. – Encourages children to challenge their assumptions, be open-hearted, and have the courage to join in.

The Blue Moon Ball is utterly charming and makes me wish I was a frog so I could attend. Siobhán’s poetry flows along so smoothly that there isn’t a syllable out of place. And Felicita’s art is absolutely gorgeous. In fact this book has everything a young reader could want: Characters to find on the dance floor, beautiful verses to be read out loud and even a villain who turns out to be a good sport. It is a lovely heartfelt story with artwork to match. * Eoin Colfer, bestselling author of Artemis Fowl * "Brilliant, swampy characters and a funny, rhyming text all wrapped up in a parcel of gorgeous pictures.
