River Plan-form Movement in an Alluvial Plain

This text – a thesis presented to the International Institute for Infrastructural, Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering at Delft in the Netherlands – covers topics relating to river plan-form movement in an alluvial plain, including: a review of existing theories; the development of a bed topography model in a meandering river; and a heuristic approach to the determination of optimum river width.
