Magnificent collection of underwater photographs of Madeira.Ocultas Madeira is primarily a book on underwater photography, serving as a medium to show the world a range of species found in the seas of the Island of Madeira. The natural beauty of this Island is already known by many, who have popularised the island’s nickname, “the Pearl of the Atlantic”.Its underwater world has, until recently, remained the domain of scientific publications, with little emphasis given to showing the world the visual beauty of the inhabitants of the Island’s waters. Artur Silva set out to do just that, resulting in the first underwater photography publication presenting exclusively local species.
