Author Biography

Pouneh Pouramini holds a BSc in Plant Protection and an MSc in Medicinal and Aromatic Plants. She has published two books in Farsi on medicinal plants. Enrolled at the Leibniz University Hannover, she is currently a PhD student in the Plant Reproductive Biology Group at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research, Germany.Goetz Hensel is a molecular biologist by training, holding a PhD from the University of Braunschweig, Germany. Currently, he leads the Centre of Plant Genome Engineering at Heinrich-Heine University Dusseldorf, Germany. His research interests include Agrobacterium-mediated gene transfer methods of cereals and targeted genome modifications using custom endonucleases such as clustered regularly-interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR/Cas). He has published around 100 research papers and several book chapters.
