A standard reference and one of the first books of it’s kind; much admired and useful beyond it’s area as essentially an illustrative guide. Updated, with 150 new species now added, so that it now covers all aquatic species from the area.
The 4th edition of Flora Vegetativa again brings some important innovations. By adding about 100 new species, the aquatic plants are now fully covered. Other groups of plants were also enlarged with additional species, especially important neophytes. The species names have been adapted to the current standard of Info Flora’s 2017 Checklist and are therefore fully compatible with the Flora Helvetica. For the species that have been covered so far, many tips, corrections and additions have been incorporated. Of course, the distribution maps have also been updated and several drawings have been replaced with new, more meaningful ones.
