19th century 5 volume set in original green pictorial boards with gilt spine and cover titles and a gilt top edge; a hint of wear to the corners and light bumping to the top and bottom of the spine; some very light marks to a few of the boards. Hinges and joints solid. Light foxing to the outside edges of the textblocks. Internally generally very crisp, clean and bright; foxing generally only affecting endpapers and thereabouts. A very small number of neat, light pencil notes. 160 pages per volume apart from the final volume which includes an 8 page index. Includes approximately 40 plates per volume. Overall Very Good+. An attractive, very lightly used set. Photos available on request.
