    Author Biography

    John S. Torday is Professor Emeritus, UCLA and former Professor In-Residence of Pediatrics and Obstetrics/Gynecology, Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and Director, Perinatal Biology Training Program Step III, Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He has served as mentor to dozens of early career scholars, acted as reviwer or served on editorial boards for many journals , and authored or coauthored hundreds of peer reviewed scientific papers. Rob G. Sacco is an interdisciplinary researcher working at the intersection of systems biology, evolutionary theory, and mathematical modeling. Current work develops recursive and constraint-based frameworks for biological organization, aging, and emergence across scales.
