Extensive human developmental activities, increasing environmental contamination like heavy metals, pesticides, and petroleum oil, have detrimentally altered the functional attributes of the ecosystems and the well-being of the living organisms. To safeguard the interest of the present generation and to ensure the wellness of the future generation, it is crucial to harness sustainable approach like plant-microbe synergy. A beneficial partnership between the two can aid in managing the environmental challenges by using panoply of mechanisms such as elimination of heavy metals, degradation of toxic organic pollutants, and fortifying plant growth. Exploration of the in-depth mechanisms and their effective use is therefore indispensable. This book aims to provide a picturesque on molecular mechanisms of plant-microbe symbiosis and their real-world applications. It may facilitate readers to find new research avenues and harness the potential more efficiently. This book is appropriate for all the researchers, academicians, scientists, and policy makers focusing on the improvement of agricultural output and the alleviation of environmental issues. The content of the book has presented in a simple language with interesting and scientifically informative figures and tables to maximize reader’s engagement and retention.
