Beige cloth boards with red titles over red cloth spine with gilt titles; gilt top edge; cream endpaper with repeating decorative pattern in olive green.
Beige cloth wrinkled and lightly marked; red cloth spine soot toned though with gilt titles remaining bright; corners bumped; wear to extremities; beige cloth edge beginning to curl back where it overlaps the red spine cloth on the rear board. Hinges cracked, binding remains firm though front board beginning to loosen. Moderately cocked. Tanning to endpapers, spotting to tissueguard and title page, otherwise almost no toning or foxing. Fairly crisp and clean though with some light thumb marks and other light signs of use. Pp. xvii-xx beginning to detach.
