Author Biography

Louise Day is a visual artist who lives and works on the west coast of Scotland.  She creates artwork inspired by the environment which surrounds her, drawing on the organic shapes of seaweed and pebbles along the shore and of foliage in gardens and woodlands. Louise explores a range of media but has a particular fascination for watercolour. Its translucency, vibrancy and fluidity enable her to work with overlapping layers of organic shapes, colours, marks and patterns.
