Inscription with signature to FFEP, as well as a later Attractive bookplate. Sir Thomas’ heraldic Attractive bookplate to FEP. The author also included a note to the beneficiary on Kew headed notepaper and a signed 22p. article of his from Science Progress, No. 157, 1952 entitled The Contemplative Gardener. Also slipped inside are copy of Jameson’s 1936 article The Preservation of Vegetables, Comber’s The Cultivation of Some Terrestrial Orchids and a magazine cutout of a rather unsavoury book review from 1952.
