Very lightly used; some pages remain unopened. Original green cloth boards with gilt spine titles and gilt top edge; some tanning to spine and very slight bumping to top and bottom of spine otherwise excellent. Internally very crisp, clean and bright; very little age toning and very little foxing, just affecting the first and final few leaves and the outside edges of the textblock. All 8 glorious sepia plates and their tissue guards remain in excellent condition. Attractively coloured folding map at rear also excellent except for a <4cm tear to a fold at the top margin. A very well preserved copy of this delightfully illustrated work.
