Based on papers presented at a meeting of the International Association of Geomorphologists in Singapore, this book presents a series of international case studies of river forms and alluvial sediments, covering a broad range of factors that influence channel forms. Unlike the emphasis on intrinsic controls and feedback relationships frequently encountered elsewhere, this book focuses on major extrinsic factors controlling channel form.
