Author Biography

A lifelong student of nature, Matt Strieby has studied trees for more than 40 years. Matt’s expertise is in science-based botanical illustration and sharing information about the natural world. He also hosts talks and tours that focus on cultural beliefs about plants and animals. As an illustrator and designer for almost 25 years, Matt has collaborated with a wide range of clients, including the Nature Conservancy in Portland, Oregon, the High Desert Museum in Bend, Oregon, the Battleship North Carolina Museum, Portland Parks and Recreation, Six Mile Slough Cypress Preserve in Florida, and Briar Bush Nature Center in Pennsylvania.
