Royal blue full leather, profusely decorated in gilt to spine with gilt titles on red leather spine label, gilt cover borders, gilt crest of Rugby School to front board, red marbled endpapers and edges to the textblock; light wear to extremities, light spine fade; front hinge cracked but remains solidly bound. Internally very crisp, clean and bright, with almost no age toning or foxing; fold out plate at front is a little bumped at the outer edge and a little foxed; 1886 Rugby School bookplate with the name H. K. Beale to front pastedown. Overall Very Good. Photos available on request.
