The very scarce 3-volume large-format production, in translation, of the 1861-5 Latin original. Non-standard blue cloth bindings with white spine titles; crisp and bright but with marks to cloth which is wrinkled in places. Internally all remain very crisp and clean with light age toning. Attractive bookplate to FFEPs. DJs are clean but with small chips to extremities and uneven age toning, now protected inside clear removable covers. A landmark and epoch-making mycological work by the Tulasne brothers that detailed the pleomorphism of Ascomycetes with precise illustrations and descriptions. 61 plates.
