This is the latest in a series of field guides to German vascular plants, in fact the 13th edition of this volume of illustrations.

This volume includes more than 3000 drawings of wild plants from the German flora. Each plant is represented accurately and to scale with characteristic details included. Vegetative characteristics are provided to help determination in the non flowering state. The exact Information about the size, form of life, flowering time and conservation complement the illustrations.
For the 12th edition more than 210 plant species were redrawn and corrected and another 60 existing drawings added. In the 13th edition errors have been corrected and details updated.
To conform with modern taxonomy,there is a new arrangement of figures and many name changes. Previously valid names of families, genera and species are now identified as synonyms in the register. Both the main volume and the illustrations volume now correspond with each other in regard to naming and ordering.
