Each volume of the Pilzkompendium series comes 2 two parts, the text and plates being bound in separate books. They can be purchased separately or as a set at a slightly reduced price.

The text volume is in German with English summaries. It covers the larger genera of the Agaricales with coloured spore dust (with exception of the Cortinariaceae): Agaricus 50, Allopsalliota 1, Conocybe 50, Coprinus 110, Entoloma 189, Lacrymaria 1, Pholiotina 20, Pluteus 38, and Psathyrella 88.
