C. 1850s; green cloth boards with gilt spine titles on black leather label; bumped and marked with tanning to spine. Hinges just starting to crack but binding holding firm. Internally fairly crisp and clean with fairly light age toning, little foxing mostly confined to first and last few leaves, and tanned endpapers. Full page and vignette engravings throughout.
