This is the 1st state binding, meaning the book is 2-3mm shorter than the 2nd state binding of the 1st printing, has gold spine text rather than silver, and has a matt DJ without any protector.
The textblock is age toned with some light foxing to the endpapers; otherwise crisp, clean and tightly bound. The binding itself is in Fine condition. The unclipped DJ, priced at 2.50, is crisp and clean with only the tiniest amount of shelfwear. The DJ spine colours remain unfaded, though it is a little age-toned and has a few very light brown spots of foxing.
