Fallow Deer

Introductory account of the biology and ecology of the deer as well as their many distinctive behaviours, such as the rut. Fallow deer were introduced to Britain by the Normans in the 11th century. Today there are over 100,000 fallow deer living wild in Britain and a further 20,000 in parks and farms.
