Author Biography
Dr. Rahul Kumar is presently working as an Assistant Professor (Zoology) in Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, College of Agriculture, Bawal, Rewari, Haryana, India. He got his Ph.D. and M.Sc. from the Department of Zoology, CCS Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar, Haryana, India. He also serves as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) at Department Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Hisar. He was formerly an Assistant Professor at Dayanand College, Hisar, Haryana. He published more than 40 papers in national and international journals and conferences and contributed to more than 20 book chapters, in that same have also been published by Springer Publishing House. Some of his papers were awarded the prize for the best papers. He delivered keynote talks at international conferences. He also published more than 8 popular magazine articles. Dr Kumar is also an executive council member of “Society for Agriculture and Allied Sciences (SAAS)”, Bawal, Rewari. Dr Kumar is a reviewer of more than 11 international scientific journals indexed in Scopus and WoS. Moreover, he is an editorial board member of many International journals. Prof. R.K. Gupta, presently working as Head of Department Zoology and Aquaculture, CCS Haryana Agricultural University is a Professor of zoology since 2009. Dr. Gupta did his graduation from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Post graduation and Doctorate from CCS Haryana Agricultural University. Dr. Gupta has completed many nationally funded projects on various aspects like, sustainability, conservation strategy of fisheries, water management and fish pathology. He was also associated with Academy of Environmental Biology, Lucknow and Indian Society of Life Sciences, Kanpur. He worked in different positions in Haryana Agricultural University. He guided 16 M.Sc. and 8 PhD students. He is reviewer of many Journals. He authored 16 books/manuals, 101 research papers in Journals of national and international repute, 7 book chapters, 57 popular articles and presented more than 50 papers in national and international seminars/symposia and conferences. He has organized various training programmes for farmers and officers of the state department to disseminate the technology regarding agroforestry. He is associated with many professional societies as member/life member or executive member. Dr. Kiran Yodha completed her post-graduation from the Department of Zoology, Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana, India, with specialisation in wildlife emphasizing on surveying birds diversity aids in the identification of areas with high conservation value. She did her Ph.D from Department of Zoology, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, Haryana, India, focusing on avian foraging behaviour, assessment of damage caused by birds to crops and use of pest management methods to sustain agriculture. Formally, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Science, J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, Haryana, India. Additionally, she presented at numerous international conferences, workshops and training sessions. She authored 13 research papers, 4 review articles and 6 book chapters.
