The contents remain fairly crisp, clean and bright with just the occasional light thumb mark in the margins, however the boards and outside edges of the textblock are lightly soiled. Spotting to front endpaper and first couple of leaves. DJ is edge-worn, chipped and lightly soiled with some small tears, however the colours remain bright. 90 of the works displayed at the 1956 U.S.S.R. Exhibition are reproduced in colour, 1 per leaf, in order of the age of the artist. An interesting cold war remnant, with some images depicting ‘Protest’ or ‘Happy childhood’.
