Current Developments in Animal Virology

The study of viruses has led to tremendous insights into fundamental biological processes. This text provides up-to-date information on this area of research, covering topics such as viral replication, gene expression, pathogenesis and the disease process, virus-host interactions, and viral vectors and vaccines. It carries 27 research papers outlining recent developments on these fronts in the study of animal viruses. The major contributors to this volume are virologists from the programme in Animal Virology at the University of California at Irvine, and from the ICGEB laboratories in Trieste and New Delhi. The New Delhi and Irvine programmes are also united by common interests and collaborative research.
