Author Biography

Ian Marshall is an ecologist who has worked for over fifteen years in the field of conservation and ecology. He is currently the Biodiversity Technical Specialist for the Environment Agency's North East Area and is the National Lead for white-clawed craysh in England, giving advice and guidance to other keen astacologists. He has helped to foster and develop numerous crayfish partnerships in both Yorkshire and Northumberland, resulting in the creation of partner-led monitoring and the creation of numerous ark sites across these regions. His key interest is delivering practical crayfish conservation outcomes utilising the latest academic research.Jen Nightingale is a conservation ecologist, who has worked in this field for over 20 years and currently she is the UK Conservation Manager at Bristol Zoological Society. Jen is a lead partner of the South West Crayfish Partnership, which she helped establish in 2009. Jen has a PhD in white-clawed crayfish aquaculture and her current focus areas ark site establishment and producing captive bred WCC for release and outreach.
