BRIS: The Bird Remains Identification System

This CD-ROM-based computerized consultancy system assists in identifying bird remains. With information on more than 200 European species, this product is offered in combination with expertise from famous institutions in the field. The CD-ROM includes an innovative computer-guided identification system which assists in the quick recognition of the feather identification characters and in identification of the taxa. An interactive geographic information system allows for quick geographic searches through the species. A multimedia database stores detailed textual and pictorial information feather structures (over 1000 micrographs).
