Author Biography

Richard Grimmett and Tim Inskipp are ornithologists specialising in the birds of southern Asia. Richard has worked for BirdLife International for more than 40 years and was in charge of the Asia Programme, based in Indonesia and then Japan, between 1997 and 2007. Until recently he was BirdLife’s Director of Conservation and is currently a Senior Conservation Advisor. Tim has visited southern Asia many times since the 1970s and has contributed to many field guides, mainly with his wife Carol Inskipp along with Richard Grimmett.
