Author Biography

John Paul BSc, MB ChB, MSc, MD, MRCPath, FRCPath is a retired microbiologist who studied at Birmingham Medical School and London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and trained in medical and public health microbiology in Oxford.He was also consultant Microbiologist in Brighton, Regional Microbiologist for PHE, SE England and London, honorary clinical professor Brighton and Sussex Medical School and a founder member of Modernising Medical Microbiology, a research consortium (2008) for developing genomic sequencing methods to investigate microbial pathogens.
