This book series specially focuses on developing green and sustainable materials for future development to restrict environmentally harmful materials, which are directly or indirectly associated with human health. The theme of this book series, “SMART” basically defines its title, “Sustainable Materials Advancing Remanufacturing and Technology.” In this series, the book Volume II, entitled “Smart Sustainable and Advanced Remanufacturing Processes,” basically provides a platform to explore various possibilities in developing sustainable materials. The terms recycle, remanufacturing, reuse, etc., are getting more attention in the twenty-first century due to an increasing demand from a rising population globally. Remanufacturing from waste materials is now transforming to 3D printing for smart and sustainable outcomes. 3D printing promotes the environmental impact of a technology, which is now one of the most significant criteria that determine whether it is feasible and sustainable. Several possible materials could be replaced through remanufacturing from recycling to develop smart, sustainable materials such as metals, cement and concrete, polymers, hybrid materials, clays, and composites. Materials and manufacturing techniques are a few of the vital processes in production industries. Most of the materials processing and manufacturing techniques currently used in industries are a major cause of environmental pollution and are hence unsustainable. Therefore, this rising implementation of SMART sustainable materials in areas like manufacturing processes across healthcare, energy, environment, and many more has led them to be incredibly useful and essential for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The purpose of this book series is to demonstrate the utilization of all major categories of waste materials, including agricultural residues, industrial by-products, municipal waste, electronic waste, and other wastes generated in modern life. This book provides in-depth knowledge about challenges faced during the processing of advanced materials and discusses possible ways to achieve sustainability in manufacturing. The central message of the book emphasizes that building a sustainable future should be one of the foremost priorities of humankind.
