The paperback journal has been bound in teal cloth boards with silver spine titles. Slight wear to extremities with a some small marks to the boards. Internally very crisp, clean and bright. Slight spotting to top edge of textblock. Attractive bookplate to FFEP. Numerous line drawings within the text, 16 glossy black and white plates at the rear + fold out chart (scheme of the development types in Ascobalaceae).
The monograph provides a comprehensive revision and taxonomy of the Ascobolus and Saccobolus genera, addressing taxonomic problems caused by numerous new species described on different substrates over the years.
