Green cloth bindings with gilt spine titles and bird decorations in gilt. Cloth remains bright, wear to extremities. All remain firmly bound, though vol. 6 has a cracked front hinge. The contents remain crisp and clean with light age toning only (moreso to endpapers). A few spots, almost entirely confined to the Vol. 6 index and some of the fore-edges of the textblocks, though these are mostly obscured by the attractively untrimmed fore-edges. Overall a lovely set. 400 hand coloured plates.
