A lightly used 3 volume red faux leather set (1928-1929) with rounded corners, gilt spine titles and gilt and black cover titles, black linear art deco borders to cover and similar decoration to spine, gilt floral cover designs (poppies, fritillaries and orchids respectively), red speckled textblock edges; very light edgewear, a little spine fade, light soiling to top edge of textblocks, otherwise excellent. Series i & ii slightly cocked.
Internally crisp, clean and bright, incl the plates, with almost no foxing.
Over 400 beautiful colour plates across the 3 volumes.
A lovely set, rarely found in this condition together.
