Author Biography

Donna Wesley Spencer is a fine art photographer whose life as a birder led to her current project on wildlife preservation called Recover & Release. She studied photography at the Evanston Art Center during her years living in the Chicago area, as well as in various workshops, and Penland School of Craft. She is a founding member of Perspective Gallery in Evanston, IL. She currently lives in a small town in North Carolina. Nancy McCrary has served as co-director of the SlowExposures Photography Festival in Concord, and founded South x Southeast photomagazine, photoworkshops and photogallery. Dr. Gregory A. Lewbart is on the faculty of the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine, where he is a Professor of Aquatic, Wildlife, and Zoological Medicine. He is the faculty founder of the Turtle Rescue Team, a student-led wildlife clinic that has treated over 8,000 patients and generated over thirty peer-reviewed publications.
