This compact edition has additional Appendix, Addenda and Corrigenda and updates and revises the 1987 edition.The Appendix details recent changes in nomenclature and contains the descriptions of recently discovered species.

The first volume contains all the text, with introductory notes on spider biology and information on classification and nomenclature. Includes a key to families and the species descriptions – 105 genera and 267 species of Linyphiidae, with numerous black and white and some coloured illustrations.
