Author Biography

Sebastien Reeber was born in 1971 in Strasbourg, France, and also studied there. He hasbeen working for the SNPN (Societe Nationale de Protection de laNature/National Society for Nature Protection) since he was 23, at the Lac deGrand-Lieu National Nature Reserve, near Nantes, and he is currently in charge ofmonitoring birds there (censuses, specific studies and ringing). This lake isone of the main wintering and breeding sites for waterfowl in France andWestern Europe, hence his interest in this group. He is also an activebirdwatcher, an editorial board member of Ornithos,and has served on the French Rarities Committee since 2006.
