Pictorial burgundy cloth (illustrated in colour), 12mo (5 x 7 inches) sized, with gilt titles and cover decoration details and black decoration to spine, AEG (all edges gilt); light wear to extremities, more so to top and bottom of spine; front hinge weakening. Internally bright and crisp, though one leaf has a neat corner crease; almost no age toning or foxing; numerous annotations inside, mostly in pencil, mostly pp.178 to end. Illustrated with coloured plates and wood engravings: the plates have some light damp staining in the border, not affecting the image in either case. iv + 204pp. + 16pp advs. Overall Very Good.
