BMP Best Management Practices: Tree and Shrub Fertilization 3rd ed

ISA has developed a series of Best Management Practices (BMP)as companion volumes to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) A300 standards. These are designed for the purpose of interpreting tree care standards and providing guidelines of practice for arborists, tree workers, and the people who employ their services. These standards have relevance internationally as well as in the US. This BMP is for the selection and application of fertilizers for trees and shrubs. It also serves as a companion publication for the fertilization portion of the American National Standard for Tree Care Operations—Tree, Shrub and Other Woody Plant Management—Standard Practices (Soil Management a. Modification, b. Fertilization, and c. Drainage).
Amongst the topics covered by this BMP are fertilisation goals and objectives, selection, timing, application, storage and handling.
