Author Biography

Dr Pradeep Sharma is a Principle Scientist in the Crop Improvement Division, ICAR-Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research, India. He received his PhD in 2002 from Haryana Agricultural University, India. For his PhD thesis, he worked on cloning and characterization of cotton leaf curl viruses. He performed his Post-Doctoral Research (2006-2008) at Tohoku University, Japan and was a Visiting Scientist at San Diego State University, USA (2011). Dr Sharma has published more than 110 national and international research papers, 25 book chapters, and edited 7 books on Biotic and Abiotic stresses. Dr. Dinesh Yadav is Professor, Department of Biotechnology at D.D.U Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur, INDIA where he was previously Head, Department of Biotechnology. He has completed his Master Degree in Biotechnology, and received his Ph.D. from G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. Dr. Yadav has more than 19 years of teaching /research experience, with specialization in Molecular biology, Bioinformatics, Plant biotechnology and Enzymetechnology. He has published more than 130 research papers including reviews, books, chapters in Books and proceedings in conferences and more than 230 GenBank accession numbers. He has carried out projects from funding agencies like DBT, UGC, UP Council of Agricultural Research, Lucknow and DST. He has received many awards for his work, and is presently working on Plant specific transcription factor-DOF) and Nuclear Factor-Y for developing biotic and abiotic stress tolerance crops and pectinases group of enzymes with potential applications in different industries. Dr Rajarshi Kumar Gaur earned his PhD in 2005 and is now a Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, Gorakhpur University, India. His Ph.D was on molecular characterization of sugarcane viruses, viz., mosaic, streak mosaic and yellow luteovirus. In 2007 he received the Visiting Scientist Fellowship from Swedish Institute Fellowship, Sweden to work at Umea University, Sweden. He has made significant contributions on sugarcane viruses and published 130 national/international papers, authored 17 books and presented approximately 50 papers at national and international conferences.
