3 volumes. Full leather, gilt-tooled bindings over 3 volumes; complete with 19 fold-out plates and a fold-out chart. Vol. 3. has different marbled endpapers and slightly different spine emblem, but similar age-wear makes them appear as a ‘set’ at first glance. Vol 1 front joint & hinge cracked, held only (yet very firmly) by spine bands. Vol 2 front board heading in the same direction; rear joint starting. All 3 volumes are moderately bumped and age-worn with chips to the tops and bottoms of spines and some loss to the gilt work. Internally all 3 volumes are crisp and clean with almost no foxing.
